The Glory of God
Jim Anderson's testimony about The Glory of God.
Visitation of the Glory of God in 2012
When a friend of mine by the name of Gene Ruble asked me to join him for some one-on-one ministry time, I was more than happy to take a ride with him in his anointed van. We drove for a short while and then stopped at a secluded spot overlooking a lake near his home where he prayed and then turned on recorded ministry music. (No vocals, only music.) Within moments the atmosphere in the van changed into one of the most peaceful and joy-filled experiences I have ever had. The presence of the Holy Spirit was so strong you could almost touch it. Neither of us spoke for almost an hour. We just closed our eyes and basked in the Glory of His Presence. It was as if we had been transported into a higher realm of Shalom (perfect peace) and it refreshed my soul to the utmost. Virtually all the heaviness and tension that I had been experiencing in my life at that time left me and I was refreshed in a new and vibrant way from the inside out. Thank you, Gene, for helping to usher in the Presence of the Holy Spirit and thank you lord for ministering to me in such a personal and intimate way. To God be the Glory!

Visitation of the Glory of God in 2012
I was a youngster in a Baptist Church when I accepted Christ, but there was a time I decided to accept the love and forgiveness of Christ in prison. It was a time of my life where I was really seeking God. I learned about the glory. That's what my brother Gene Ruble always called it. One day, he picked me up in his van, and this van was a vessel of glory. It was just insane. When the door opened, it was like knocking you down with glory. And I think I literally said, Why is the glory of God come out of your car? He's like, get in and let's go for a ride. The rest of the day was just like a dream.
Even though we're not preachers we were asked to go and speak at a Teen Challenge, they called it in Texas. Gene and I were gonna take the van, because we wanted the glory, before we spoke. Gene was like are you ready then he turned on music. It's just like, BAM, and it hit you like you were tripping in an 80s flashback, man. It felt like you were meeting God for the first time. It was a two hour trip, which felt like 10 minutes. Before my back hurt so bad, and I could barely walk. I had a brace on my back. My knee was killing me.
We went into Teen Challenge, and I think Gene said some stuff first, then I did a little preaching, and then I said, you know, Gene loves to pray for people who need to be healed. Does anybody need to be healed? And this kid said, Yeah, he got kicked in the chest by a horse or something, and so he came up, and we laid hands on him, and Gene's praying for him, and I'm praying for him. What I didn't notice through all that was I never needed to pray for my pain. We got back in the car and when we're covered with the glory again, I realized I didn't need a back brace, and my leg didn't hurt. My mind was blown because while I was praying for someone else, God healed me.
I had actually died in the 80s, and I had a brief conversation with a man, call him who you want, but we had a negotiation over a table, and I went back to life. I was dead for three minutes. I was in a coma for three days, and I knew God had touched my life, but at that point in time it didn’t change me a lot? Not really, until the time I was in a car wreck and broke my neck and was paralyzed. And inside that car, I'm talking to God, and finally, I said in these simple words, I give up, Lord, if You want me to be paralyzed for the testimony, I will do it. Whatever you want me to do. For the testimony, I will do it, and instantly I could move my body. I went to the hospital, they said I had a broken neck, and I could die. I could be paralyzed for life. And I said these words, Nah, you don't know my God, and you don't know me. I'll be out here in 24 hours. 24 hours later, I was out, and six weeks later, they said, I do not see a break anymore. That day changed me. I still kept preaching in some different juvenile prisons and different men's groups. But anyway, that short time we had that van showed me a glory and power like I've never seen before in my entire life, and it changed me from the inside.
